As the population of our region increases and our economy evolves, demands on the Catawba-Wateree River Basin also grow and evolve. The 2023 Water for All Summit will bring together industry leaders from across our region who will examine how our use of water impacts the River Basin and how we can better balance the needs of our growing region and the health of our greatest resource. We hope you will join us for this special event!
In 2021, CWWMG began updating the Water Supply Master Plan (WSMP) and rebranded the effort as the Integrated Water Resources Plan (IWRP) to better represent the organization's comprehensive approach to long-term planning that considers water supply, water demand, water quality, and source water protection.
2023 is a critical year for us as we begin detailed evaluations to update the plan.
This year’s Water for All Summit will explore the following key components of the IWRP:
What are the biggest contributors to water quality concerns in our River Basin?
How can we reduce the risk of contaminants entering our waterways?
How are regional water demands changing?
How do we quantify the value of our water to ensure a resilient/sustainable future?
