Water Use Efficiency Plan

The Water Use Efficiency Plan was developed to set appropriate, measurable goals to drive water use efficiency improvements and develop a prioritized action plan to meet the established goals outlined in the CWWMG Five‐Year Projects Strategic Plan.

Using guidance from the 2010 Benchmarking Survey of Successful Conservation Programs, 2012 Water Efficiency Program Survey Results, CWWMG Demand‐Side Committee recommendations, and CWWMG member input, the plan outlines a set of measures that will enable the CWWMG to meet achievable and cost‐effective water savings goals to drive water use efficiency improvements.

This project involved:

  • Collecting information about existing demand management programs and identified program successes and failures.
  • Surveying represented small, medium and large water providers and included many of the national leaders in demand management.
  • Compiling the results that are being used to develop a coordinated water demand management program for the CWWMG.
